Ziverge Partners With Matechs To Bring Functional Training For TypeScript Developers

Ziverge today announced a partnership with Matechs to jointly organize and promote a range of new training offerings that are designed to help TypeScript developers leverage the functional power of the TypeScript programming language.

In May, Ziverge will launch Practical Functional Programming in Typescript, a new three-day workshop open to the public that aims to level-up developers who want to gain practical knowledge of TypeScript in functional programming and build powerful business applications.

Teaching the basics of functional programming (Pure Functions, ADTs, e-DSLs), this new workshop will explain how to use functional effect systems to build modular, performant applications that are easy to write and maintain.

John A. De Goes, CEO of Ziverge, explains the decision to partner with Matechs: “With ZIO, we’ve helped backend developers build scalable, reactive, resilient applications that never leak resources or deadlock, and which are easier to build, test, and maintain than other JVM frameworks. We remain impressed by Matechs pivotal work to bring this power to TypeScript developers, and believe that these new educational offerings will help position functional TypeScript for accelerated adoption by companies big and small.”

Michael Arnaldi, CEO at Matechs, explains why his company chose to partner with Ziverge: “We strongly share Ziverge’s vision for delivering better software using functional programming, and have worked diligently to bring ZIO-like power to TypeScript developers everywhere. We believe that our training and open source offerings are the perfect compliment to Ziverge’s own.”

Matechs supports startup and enterprise clients to grow through industry-leading IT strategy consulting. Matechs is founded by Michael Arnaldi, author of Effect-TS, a functional programming library. The library allows building reliable, scalable, maintainable, and resilient web applications, leveraging the power of functional programming patterns.

Ziverge develops and supports the ZIO open source ecosystem for building reactive, cloud-native applications. Ziverge provides training, consulting, and development services for companies worldwide, and has a proven track record of delivering and scaling Enterprise-grade open source solutions for the Scala programming language.
