ZIO Hackathon 2020 is officially on, and you can attend from anywhere in the world.
Date: 20 - 21 November 2020
Location: Online Only
Attend the first ZIO Hackathon after the release of ZIO 1.0.
Ziverge Inc. is proud to join forces with Scalac to launch ZIO Hackathon 2020, a worldwide, online event that assembles contributors to ZIO projects and Scala developers from the broader community for one and a half days of talks and guided, hands-on, open source development.
The first ZIO Hackathon took place in 2019 in Warsaw, Poland, and saw dozens of Scala developers assemble from all over the world to learn more about and hack on ZIO technologies. The success of this hackathon was later replicated in Berlin, Germany, with more than a hundred and twenty participants to the Zalando-sponsored hackathon.
Attendees of ZIO Hackathon 2020 will be able to attend talks on ZIO projects from leading open source contributors, as well as receive expert mentorship in contributing features, bug fixes, and documentation enhancements to the ZIO ecosystem of libraries. All attendees who have a contribution merged into any official ZIO project during the hackathon will receive a complimentary t-shirt, sent to them anywhere in the world, and a 10% discount to Functional Scala 2020.
